Cabinet Secretary Md Mahbub Hossain and Election Commissioner Begum Rasheda Chowdhury have been admitted to Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University (BSMMU) Hospital, Dhaka with physical illness.
BSMMU sources on Thursday said Cabinet Secretary Mahbub was brought to the hospital around 10:05 am today after he had felt sick and he is now receiving treatment at Cabin No. 411 of Cabin Block.
He was admitted to the hospital this morning with fever and cough but he has not been affected by dengue, said his private secretary Quazi Shahjahan.
However, EC Rashed was admitted to the facility around 12 noon today and she is taking treatment at Cabin No. 412 of the same block, the BSMMU sources said.
Election Commission officials said she was admitted to the hospital with fever.
