Three people were killed and 12 others injured as a bus hit a truck standing on the Bangabandhu Expressway in Sirajdikhan upazila of Munshiganj early Wednesday.
Among the deceased, one was identified as Hasina Begum, 42.
Hasara Highway Police Station and Sirajdikhan Police Station sources said a bus of 'Labiba Paribahan' hit a truck standing on the Bangabandhu Expressway in Ramer Khola area around 4 am, leaving three dead on the spot and 12 others injured.
Hasara Police Station officer in-charge Kanchan Kumar Singh told Jago News a goods-laden truck broke down on the road.
The incident took place when the passenger bus hit it, he added.
