Police have arrested the alleged mastermind of the murder of two drivers of two separate three-wheelers in Madhukhali upazila of Faridpur.
He was apprehended Rashed Kabir, 33, from Gulshan-2 area of Dhaka on Monday noon, Superintendent of Faridpur Police Md Shahjahan confirmed in a press conference in the district on Tuesday afternoon.
Arrested Rashed hails from Bailab Charpara village in Trishal upazila of Mymensingh and he would conduct these misdeeds staying at brother-in-law's (sister's husband) house in Madhukhali upazila of Faridpur.
SP Shahjahan said two three-wheeler drivers - Zihad alias Joy, 16, and Nayan Sarder, 20, - were throat-slitted and their three-wheelers snatched on January 4 and February 9 this year respectively.
Information gleaned from snatched three-wheeler's buyer Mizanur Rahman Nijhum, 38, police managed to arrest Rashed from Dhaka.
In primary interrogation, he admitted to killing Joy and Nayan by slitting their throats.
