Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir and his wife Rahat Ara Begum flew to Singapore for medical treatment on Thursday morning.
He and his wife left Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport in Dhaka for Singapore in a flight of Biman Bangladesh Airlines around 8:30am. Their younger daughter Mirza Safaruh is accompanying them.
Md Younus Ali, Personal Assistant of the BNP leader, confirmed the matter to Jago News.
Mirza Fakhrul will receive treatment at the National University Hospital (NUH) in Singapore for various health complexities, including blockage in the nerve of his neck.
Earlier in February, Mirza Fakhrul and his wife Rahat Ara flew to Singapore for treatment.
