Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina will inaugurate the Agargaon-Motijheel route of the metro rail on October 20, Road Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader said on Sunday noon.
On this occasion, a rally will be held at Suhrawardy Udyan in the capital at 3pm on that day, the minister said.
He said this while exchanging views with the journalists at conference room of road transport and bridges ministry.
Road Transport and Highways Division Secretary ABM Nurul Amin Ullah Nuri and Bridges Division Secretary Md Manjur Hossain were, among others, present during this time.
Quader said 11.5 kilometres of elevated expressway from Kawla to Farmgate will be opened on September 2. On this occasion, a gathering will be held at the old ground of the trade fair.
On the occasion of the inauguration of the Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Tunnel on October 28, a gathering will be held at Anwara on the other side of the tunnel, he said.
He also said the construction work of MRT Line-5 northern road will be inaugurated on September 16. On this occasion, a gathering will be held at Savar.
On October 22, Prime Minister will inaugurate 140 bridges. 12 overpasses will be inaugurated at the same time. Along with this, the Vehicle Fitness Vehicle Inspection Center (VOC) will also be inaugurated, he added.
