Int’l jute and handicraft fair on October 5-9

A five-day-long 'International Jute and Handicraft Fair-2023' will be held from October 5 to October 9 at Bangabandhu Bangladesh-China Friendship Exhibition Center (BBCFEC) in the capital's outskirts Purbachal, reports BSS.

Export Promotion Bureau (EPB) and Bangladesh Handicrafts Manufacturers and Exporters Association (BANGLACRAFT) are going to organise the event jointly.

To this end, EPB and BANGLACRAFT recently arranged a view exchange and discussion meeting at Dhaka Club in the city in presence of all the stakeholders involved in organising the exhibition.

EPB Vice Chairman AHM Ahsan attended the discussion as the chief guest while BANGLACRAFT President SU Haidar also spoke.

EPB Director General Mahbubur Rahman and Executive Director of the Jute Diversification Promotion Centre (JDPC) Gopal Chandra Dash attended the meeting as special guests.

Around 200 local companies as well as more than 70 foreign companies from Southeast Asia and potential foreign buyers are expected to participate in the fair. Apart from this, seminars and B-2-B/Matchmaking meetings will be held as sideline events.
