BNP has announced a new four-day program demanding the party chief Khaleda Zia's release and the government's resignation.
BNP Senior Joint Secretary General Ruhul Kabir Rizvi made the announcement in a press conference at the party's Nayapaltan central office in Dhaka on Tuesday afternoon.
He said doa-mahfil will be held in metropolitan city, district and upazila levels across the country on Wednesday seeking recovery for Khaleda Zia as her physical condition deteriorated.
Leaflets will be distributed across the country on Thursday demanding Khaleda Zia's release and arrangement of her better treatment abroad, he said.
Rizvi said the party will bring mass procession in all metropolitan cities on August 18 as part of its one-point movement with the goal to oust the government.
Besides, it will hold road march program across the country on August 19, he added.
