A court in Mymensingh has sentenced five people to life-term imprisonment for the murder of a man.
The lifers are two brothers Abdur Roshid and Abdur Rashid, Abul Bashar, Md Zinnah and Md Russel, residents of Pagla Thana area in the district.
Mymensingh Additional District and Sessions Judge Judge Sudipta Sarker handed down the verdict on Thursday afternoon.
The court also fined them Tk 10,000 each and in default, they will have to serve three months more in jail.
The court's assistant public prosecutor (APP) advocate Sanjib Sarker confirmed the matter to Jago News.
According to the case statement, the accused murdered Mahbubul Alam, a resident of Bashia village in Gafargaon upazila on April 19 of 2012 over a previous enmity.
Later, his wife Hena Parvin filed a case with Gafargaon Police Station in this connection.
