US Congress delegation to reach Dhaka on 4-day visit on Saturday

A delegation from the US Congress will arrive in Dhaka on a four-day visit on Saturday. 

Congressman Ed Case of Hawaii from the Democratic Party and congressman Rich McCormick of Georgia from the Republican Party will lead the delegation.

The delegation is scheduled to visit the Rohingya camps as well as hold meetings with Awami League, Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) and Jatiya Party. 

Source said they will meet Refugee Relief and Repatriation (RRRC) at the Rohingya camp and UN-affiliated agencies on August 13. They will also meet Foreign Minister AK Abdul Momen in Dhaka. 

Confirming their visit to Dhaka, Foreign Minister said as the US lends the highest amount of financial assistance to the Rohingyas on humanitarian ground, the two congressmen are coming here to assess the utilisation of their fund.
