Members of Bangladesh Army have been deployed to manage the flood situation and landslides in Chattogram and Bandarban.
Rashedul Alam Khan, Assistant Director of Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), confirmed the information on Tuesday morning.
However, three children and a woman were killed in separate landslides at Ukhiya and Chakaria in Cox’s Bazar on Monday afternoon.
Of the deceased, two were identified as Jannat Ara, 28 and his daughter Mahim Akter, 2.
In Bandarban, a woman and her daughter were killed in a landslide due to heavy rainfall. More than one thousand houses were inundated by flood water.
Source said, the power supply remained cut off in most of the areas in Bandarban as flood situation worsened.
