US does not favour any political party, Ambassador Peter Haas said on Thursday.
He told journalists at Awami League’s Bangabandhu Avenue central office in the capital at 12:45pm.
Earlier, he held a meeting with the party’s General Secretary Obaidul Quader.
He said he talked with different political parties including Awami League and law enforcement agencies and informed them about the US Visa Policy.
He also said he asked all including AL to hold a free, fair and neutral election.
AL presidium member Md Faruk Khan, international affairs secretary Dr Shammi Ahmed, office secretary Barrister Biplob Barua, information and research affairs secretary Dr Selim Mahmud and central executive member Mohammad A Arafat were, among others, present during this time.
