The Senate of Chittagong University (CU) has approved a proposed budget involving Tk 405.35 crore for the 2023-24 fiscal.
The budget was approved at the 35th CU Senate meeting held in its conference room of AR Mollic Bhaban on Sunday.
Acting registrar of CU K M Nur Mohammad placed the budget before the senate.
CU Vice-Chancellor Prof Shirin Akhtar presided over the function while Vice-Chancellor Prof Benu Kumar Dey, senate members, syndicate members, deans of various faculties, proctors of the university and invited guests, among others, were present at the meeting.
The CU vice-chancellor said the budget has reflected various aspects of the development of academic, administrative and physical infrastructure by ensuring honesty, transparency and accountability to take the university forward.
