Former police inspector sued for amassing illegal wealth

The Anti-Corruption Commission has filed a case against former police inspector Md Mizanur Rahman for allegedly amassing around Tk 73,18,242 wealth illegally and concealing asset information.

ACC deputy director Mainul Hasan Rawshani lodged the case with ACC's Narayanganj coordinated district office on Sunday.

The case statement said Mizanur Rahman, being ordered, submitted his wealth statement to the anti-graft body where he concealed information about Tk 18,35,151 wealth.

Besides, he amassed a total of Tk 73,18,242 movable and immovable property illegally and which is inconsistent with the wealth statement.
