A college student was killed when a truck hit a motorcycle in front of Better Life Hospital in the capital’s Rampura early Sunday.
The deceased was identified as Pulok Gomez, 21, a student of class 12 of Martin Luther College in Dhaka and son of Bipin Gomez of Kaliganj thana in Gazipur.
Pulok’s brother-in-law Rony Rozario said Pulok was returning home by a motorcycle with his friend. When their motorcycle reached the hospital, a speedy truck hit it, leaving him critically injured. Later, he was first sent to a local hospital and then shifted to Dhaka Medical College Hospital where the doctor declared him dead.
Bachchu Miah, Inspector and In-charge of DMCH police camp, said the body was kept at the hospital’s morgue for an autopsy and the concerned police station was informed.
