Eleven dengue patients died and 2,242 were hospitalized in the last 24 hours (from Friday 8 am to Saturday 8 am).
With the latest death, a total of 167 people died of dengue to date this year, a Directorate General of Health Services press release said.
Currently, 6,656 people diagnosed with the mosquito-borne disease are taking treatment at different government and private hospitals in and outside the capital of Dhaka.
Of them, 3,839 are being treated at the facilities in the capital while 2,817 are in other divisions.
As many as 30,685 dengue patients were admitted to hospitals across the country since January 1 this year.
Some 23,862 out of the hospitalized patients, however, recovered during the period.
