Kishoreganj district Awami League’s Industry and Commerce Affairs Secretary and former President of Kishoreganj Chamber of Commerce and Industry Badal Rahman was found dead on Sunday morning.
Police recovered his body from the pond of Beparibari at Char Sholakia area in the district around 9am.
Confirming the matter to Jago News, Kishoreganj Police Superintendent Mohammad Rasel, said the dead body was sent to Kishoreganj 250-bed General Hospital for autopsy.
According to source, Badal came out of his home to walk around 8pm on Saturday but didn’t return. The local people spotted a dead body floating in the pond and informed police. Later, police rushed to the spot and identified him as Badal Rahman.
Badal’s elder brother Ataur Rahman Khan said his younger brother was killed and dumped in the pond.
He sought justice over the matter.
However, Kishorganj Deputy Commissioner Abul Kalam Azad and Police Superintendent Mohammad Rasel visited the spot.
