One dengue patient died and 182 were hospitalized in the last 24 hours (from Thursday 8 am to Friday 8 am).
With the latest death, a total of 65 people died of dengue to date this year, a Directorate General of Health Services press release said.
Currently, 2,165 people diagnosed with the mosquito-borne disease are taking treatment at different government and private hospitals in and outside the capital of Dhaka.
Of them, 1,528 are being treated at the facilities in the capital while 637 are in other divisions
As many as 11,298 dengue patients were admitted to hospitals across the country since January 1 this year.
Some 9,068 out of the hospitalized patients, however, recovered during the period.
