Truck-auto rickshaw collision kills 2 in Bogura

Two people were killed and two others injured when a truck collided head-on with a CNG-run auto-rickshaw in the Sadar upazila of Bogura early Thursday.

The accident occurred on Gabtoli-Bogura regional road at Chatiantola area around 4am. 

The deceased are Rabia Begum, 26, wife of Sagor Miah of Boyra Gandhi village in Sariakandi upazila and an unidentified old man.

The injured are auto-rickshaw driver Badsha Miah, 50 of Gabtoli upazila and army man Polash Mahmud, 23.

Md Shahinuzzaman, Inspector (investigation) of Bogura Sadar Police Station, confirmed the matter to Jago News. 

He said the truck collided head-on with the auto-rickshaw, leaving two people dead on the spot and two others injured. The injured were admitted to Shaheed Ziaur Rahman Medical College. 

Bodies of the deceased were kept at the hospital’s morgue. The truck was seized but its driver managed to flee the scene, the Inspector added.
