Four dengue patients died and 436 were hospitalized in the last 24 hours (from Sunday 8 am to Monday 8 am).
With the latest death, a total of 56 people died of dengue to date this year, a Directorate General of Health Services press release said.
Currently, 1,531 people diagnosed with the mosquito-borne disease are taking treatment at different government and private hospitals in and outside the capital of Dhaka.
Of them, 1,022 are being treated at the facilities in the capital while 509 are in other divisions.
As many as 9,193 dengue patients were admitted to hospitals across the country since January 1 this year.
Some 7,606 out of the hospitalized patients, however, recovered during the period.
