Two farmers were killed and injured two others in a lightning strike in separate area of Sherpur district on Friday.The deceased were identified as Josna Mia, 55, son of Izzat Ali, a resident of Daripara village and Mia Hossen, 45, son of Hamid Ali, a resident of Kalinagar village in Nalitabari Upazila.Local sources said, a streak of thunderbolt struck Josna Mia while he was plowing at a field in the area around 12:45 pm, leaving dead on the spot.Dr. Mobarok Hossen Medical official of Sherpur Sadar Hospital confirmed the incident.As opposed to, Mia Hossen was killed by lightning in Nalitabari upazila around 12:30 pm while he was plowing at a field with tractor, leaving him dead on the spot.Fashiur Rahman, officer-in-charge (OC) of Nalitabari Police Station confirmed the incident.
