Bangladesh on Monday recorded one Covid-19 death while it reported 140 coronavirus positive cases.
"Bangladesh reported 6.96 percent Covid-19 positive cases as 2,012 samples were tested during the last 24 hours," a daily statement of the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) said.
During the period, the combined figure of coronavirus infection in Dhaka district and the capital is 127.
The official tally showed that the virus killed a total of 29,452 people and infected 20,40,610 so far, the statement added.
The recovery count rose to 20,06,870 after another 172 patients were discharged from the dedicated hospitals during the last 24 hours.
Bangladesh reported its first three cases of COVID-19 on March 8 in 2020.
The new coronavirus pandemic first emerged in the Chinese city of Wuhan in December in 2019.
The World Health Organisation declared the coronavirus crisis a pandemic on March 11 in 2020.
