Two dengue patients died and 189 were hospitalized in the last 24 hours (from Saturday 8 am to Sunday 8 am).
With the latest death, a total of 24 people died of dengue to date this year, a Directorate General of Health Services press release said.
Currently, 603 people diagnosed with the mosquito-borne disease are taking treatment at different government and private hospitals in and outside the capital of Dhaka.
Of them, 497 are being treated at the facilities in the capital while 106 are in other divisions.
As many as 3,210 dengue patients were admitted to hospitals across the country since January 1 this year.
Some 2,583 out of the hospitalized patients, however, recovered during the period.
