Two people were killed and another was injured when a truck collided head-on with a CNG-run auto-rickshaw in Gazipur early Sunday.
The accident took place on Mawna-Kaliakoir regional road at Khejur Gach area adjacent to Fulbaria Bazar in Kaliakoir upazila around 6am.
Sohel Rana, Sub Inspector and In-charge of Fulbaria police outpost, confirmed the matter to Jago News.
He said the truck collided head-on with the auto-rickshaw, leaving two people dead on the spot and another critically injured. The injured was recovered and taken to the hospital. The truck was sized but its driver managed to flee away.
Legal action is underway in this regard, the police officer added.
