One dengue patient died and 156 were hospitalized in the last 24 hours (from Friday 8 am to Saturday 8 am).
With the latest death, a total of 22 people died of dengue to date this year, a Directorate General of Health Services press release said.
Currently, 549 people diagnosed with the mosquito-borne disease are taking treatment at different government and private hospitals in and outside the capital of Dhaka.
Of them, 473 are being treated at the facilities in the capital while 76 are in other divisions.
As many as 3,021 dengue patients were admitted to hospitals across the country since January 1 this year.
Some 2,450 out of the hospitalized patients, however, recovered during the period.
