Serajul Alam Khan, one of the organizers of Bangladesh Liberation War, has passed away.
He breathed his last around 2:15 pm on Friday while undergoing treatment at Dhaka Medical College Hospital.
DMCH Director Brigadier General Md Nazmul Haque confirmed the matter.
DMCH sources said he had suffered from various old age complications and was admitted to the facility on May 20.
He was put on life support in the hospital on June 8 after his condition worsened.
Serajul Alam Khan played a historic role in shaping public opinion in support of Six-Point and played a role in the movement demanding the withdrawal of the Agartala conspiracy case and the release of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.
In his initiative, Jatiya Samajtantrik Dal (JSD) was founded in 1972 but he did not hold a leadership position in the party.
He is known as 'Mystery Man' in the politics of Bangladesh as he worked for the party from behind the scene.
