Three members of a family were killed and another was injured as a bus rammed a CNG-run auto-rickshaw in Anwara upazila of Chattogram on Thursday evening.
The deceased were identified as Kohinur Akter, 35, wife of Shafiul Alam, a resident of Giri village in Patiya upazila of the district, their two sons Miraj, 23, and Manik, 17, while the injured, Sumaiya, 10, is their daughter.
The incident took place in Dakpara area around 7:30 pm, Anwara Police Station officer in-charge Mirza Md Hasan confirmed.
Locals said a bus hit a CNG-run auto-rickshaw in Dakpara area, leaving a woman dead on the spot and her three children injured.
Later, the injured were rushed to Chattogram Medical College Hospital where the on-duty doctors declared two dead.
CMCH Police Outpost supervising official Panchlaish Police Station inspector (investigation) Sadikur Rahman said critically injured two people named Miraj and Manik were brought to the facility where the on-duty physicians declared them dead.
