The government will spend a total of Tk 88,162 crore for the education sector under the Primary and Mass Education Ministry, and the Education Ministry in fiscal year 2023-24.
Finance Minister AHM Mustafa Kamal made a proposal for the spending when he was presenting the proposed national budget of Tk 7,61,785 crore for FY2023-24 in Jatiya Sangsad on Thursday.
However, the allotment for the education sector is Tk 6,713 crore more than that of the current financial year.
