Rajshahi district unit BNP convener Abu Sayeed Chand has been placed on a three-day fresh remand in a case filed for issuing a death threat to Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.
Judge Mahbub Alam of Rajshahi Judicial Magistrate-4 Court passed the order on Tuesday morning at the end of his five-day remand after police appealed for another ten days to quiz him.
Porimol Kumar, Court Inspector of Rajshahi District Police, confirmed the matter to Jago News.

Earlier on May 25, police arrested him from the check post of Bheripara intersection in the district.
On May 19, Chand issued a death threat to Prime Minister at his party programme. Later, a video of his speech went viral on social media.
On May 22, Abu Kalam Azad, a local Awami League leader in the district, filed the case against him with Puthia Police Station.
