GCC polls: Azmat announces 28-point election manifesto

The Awami League’s mayoral candidate in Gazipur City Corporation (GCC) polls Azmat Ullah Khan has unveiled a 28-point election manifesto pledging to ensure planned development as per a master plan.

He announced the election manifesto at a press conference at the engineering building in Gazipur on Sunday morning.

“If elected as Mayor, a world-class master plan will be prepared to ensure planned development in Gazipur city,” he said

Other pledges of the election manifesto include reducing traffic jam, developing water and sewerage systems, improving services without raising holding tax, reclaiming grabbed canals, repairing of roads, improving health services, generating employment, improving the traffic system, improving education system, providing assistance for old people and people with disabilities, curbing drug abuse, constructing and renovating parks.

Gazipur city AL General Secretary Ataullah Mondol, Kazi Alim Uddin Buddin, advocate Wazuddin Miah, Afjal Hossain Sarkar Ripon, advocate Amanat Hossain Khan, Ilias Ahmed, Mojibur Rahman, Abdul Hadi Shamim, advocate Rina Pervin, Masud Rana Ershad were, among others, present during this time.
