Rise of BD radical terrorism on agenda in talks with India

The Fourth Home Minister Level talks between India and Bangladesh will be held in New Delhi tomorrow, to discuss tackling rise of Bangladesh radicalism.Intergovernmental talks between India and Bangladesh at the Home Ministerial level are expected to further strengthen and enhance what is already considered to be excellent cooperation between the two countries on security and border management issues.The Bangladeshi delegation will be led by Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan. While the Indian side will be led by Home Minister Rajnath Singh and will include National Security Advisor, Home Secretary and officials of External Affairs, Border Security Force, Narcotics Control Bureau and Coast Guard.During the talks, both sides will review the Land Boundary Agreement implementation, security and border management and related issues.India wants greater security cooperation between the armed forces, police and law enforcement agencies and also close coordination on the ground with Bangladesh to fight the menace of terrorism.

The talks are significant coming in the wake of recent terror attacks in Bangladesh, which has  been reeling under spate of terror attacks and has seen an increase of radical forces in the country.India has assured Bangladesh it will give full support in its fight against terrorism.Ahead of the India-Bangladesh Home Minister Level talks, both the countries decided to set up more border outposts to check trans-border movement of terrorists, smuggling and infiltration.While India will construct 508 new border outposts, besides the existing 1200. Bangladesh will set up 50 more in addition to its existing 35 border outposts.
