Record 130 students under 11 education boards were expelled for adopting illegal means on the fourth day of the ongoing Secondary School Certificate (SSC) and its equivalent examinations on Sunday.
According to Inter-Education Board, around 18,606 students under nine general education boards were absent in the exam today while 94 students were expelled for adopting illegal means in the test.
On the day, more than 17,000 examinees under madrasa and technical education boards did not attend the exam while 36 faced expulsion for adopting illegal means.
The Secondary School Certificate (SSC) and its equivalent examinations began across the country on April 30.
This year as many as 20,72,163 students under 11 education boards are sitting for the exams. The number is 50,295 more than that of last year.
