Joint forces in a drive held 31 people, including 22 activists of Jamaat-e-Islami and Chhatra Shibir for their suspected involvement with militant activities from Zakiganj upazila in Sylhet early Thursday.A total of 25 jihadi books and 13 machetes have been seized from their possession. Rapid Action Battalion (RAB), Armed Police Battalion and Detective Branch of police, jointly conducted the drive in different areas of the upazila and arrested 31 people.Most of the arrestees were wanted in several cases, including subversive activities.
