355 killed, 620 injured during Eid journeys

As many as 355 people were killed and 620 others injured in 341 road, rail and waterway accidents during Eid journeys.    

Of them, 328 people were killed and 565 injured in 304 road accidents. 27 died and 55 suffered injuries in 27 railway accidents. 5 were killed and 22 went missing in 10 waterway accidents.   

Md Mozammel Haque Chowdhury, Secretary General of Bangladesh Jatri Kalyan Samity (BJKS), said this at a press conference held at Shishu Kalyan Parishad Auditorium in the capital’s Topkhana road on Tuesday. 

He also unveiled a report on road accidents occurred during Eid journeys. 

The report was made based on the news published on national and regional newspapers and online news portals from April 15 to April 29.
