Four members of a family including two children were killed and two others injured in a head-on collision between a bus and a CNG-run auto-rickshaw in Dinajpur on Thursday morning.
The accident occurred on Dinajpur-Fulbari highway near Shibpur area in Chirirbandar upazila at 10:30am.
Of the deceased, two were identified as Uttama Roy, 35 and his wife Pallabi Roy, 32.
Locals said a bus of Keya Paribahan was going to Fulbari this morning. When the vehicle reached near Shibpur area, it collided head-on with a Dinajpur-bound CNG-run auto-rickshaw, leaving two people dead on the spot and four others including the auto-rickshaw driver injured critically. Later, the injured were sent to Dinajpur M Abdur Rahim Medical College Hospital where the doctors declared two of them dead.
Bazlur Rashid, Officer-in-charge of Chirirbandar Police Station, confirmed the matter to Jago News.
