Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina on Wednesday expressed profound shock and sorrow at the death of Gonoshasthaya Kendra founder and valiant freedom fighter Dr Zafrullah Chowdhury.
In a condolence message, the premier said Dr Zafrullah’s contributions to the great Liberation War, pharmaceutical industry and public health sector will be remembered.
She prayed for the salvation of the departed soul and expressed sympathy to the bereaved family.

Dr Zafrullah Chowdhury died at Gonoshasthaya Nagar Hospital at Dhanmondi in the capital on Tuesday night. He was 81.
He had long been suffering from kidney disease. He was admitted to the hospital on April 5 after he fell ill critically.
