Gonoshasthaya Kendra Founder Dr Zafrullah Chowdhury was put on life support after his condition deteriorated on Monday morning.
He is undergoing treatment at Gonoshasthaya Nagar Hospital in the capital’s Dhanmondi, said the Kendra Press Adviser Jahangir Alam Mintu.
Professor Brigadier General (reted) Mamun Mostafi, the physician of the hospital, said Dr Zafrullah was kept on life support after his physical condition deteriorated at 10am.

Earlier on Sunday afternoon, a medical board was formed for the treatment of him as his physical condition did not improve.
Dr Zafrullah has long been suffering from kidney disease. He was admitted to the hospital on April 5 after he fell ill critically.
