There will be no restrictions on the movement of motorcycles on the highways during the upcoming Eid-ul-Fitr, said Road Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader.
But the ban on running motorcycles on the Padma Bridge will remain effective, he said in a view exchange meeting in capital Dhaka on Sunday.

The meeting was held at the office of Bangladesh Road Transport Authorities at Banani to ensure safe travel for passengers on the roads ahead of the Eid-ul-Fitr.
Last year the Road Transport and Highways Division gave a direction saying motorcycles will not be allowed to operate on the highways and from a district to another three days before Eid, on the day of Eid, and three days after Eid.
