The Federation of Bangladesh Chambers of Commerce and Industry has announced Tk 1 crore for rehabilitation of the traders affected by the fire at Bangabazar market.
FBCCI President Jashim Uddin made the announcement after visiting the clothing market on Sunday afternoon.
He also urged all businesses of the country to stand beside the affected traders.
Earlier, a deadly fire broke out at Bangabazar clothing market in the early hours of April 4, injuring several people and burning around 5,000-6,000 shops.
