Bangabazar market fire under control after 6.30 hours

The massive fire, which broke out at Bangabazar market in the capital Dhaka early Tuesday, was brought under control at 12:36pm after around 6.30 hours.  

Brigadier General Md Main Uddin, Director General of Fire Service and Civil Defence, confirmed the matter to Jago News.  

The fire originated at the market at 6:10am. 

Being informed, fifty fire service units rushed to the spot.

A joint support team of the Bangladesh Army, Bangladesh Air Force and Bangladesh Navy also joined them to control the fire.

The members of police, RAB and Ansar were also present at the spot to maintain the law and order situation.
