Four female students of two separate institutions in Mirpur of capital Dhaka have gone missing.
They are Kulsum, Samia and Khushi, students of a madrasa named Al-Zahara Girls Academy, and Tarmin Akter Kalpana, a student of Quazi Abul Hossain High School in Mirpur-13. They are friends of each other and residents of the area.
Kafrul Police Station officer in-charge Hafizur Rahman confirmed the matter on Thursday afternoon.
Following the filing of separate general diaries by the guardians of the students, police and different detective units of the force started working to rescue them, he said.
It takes time to confirm their location as none of them have mobile phones, the OC added.
Father of missing Kulsum mentioned in GD that his daughter went out of home on Tuesday morning to go to her madrasa but did not return home.
Later, he learned her three friends also did not return home after going out to go to their respective educational institutions, he added.
