Another person, who suffered burn injury in an electric transformer explosion at Dail Potti in Nitaiganj area of Narayanganj, has died.
Md Shahjahan Khan, 40, son of Ali Khan, hailed from Patuakhali, breathed his last while undergoing treatment at the Intensive Care Unit of Sheikh Hasina National Institute of Burn and Plastic Surgery (SHNIBPS) around 6:30am on Wednesday.
With this, the death toll in the explosion has risen to 2.
Confirming the death to Jago News, Dr S M Ayub Hossain, Resident Surgeon of the SHNIBPS, said Shahjahan suffered 60% burn injuries in the explosion.
Earlier on Saturday morning, one person was killed and three others suffered burn injuries when a fire broke out at a building after an explosion of an electric transformer at Dail Potti in Nitaiganj area of Narayanganj.
Later, the building was declared risky by the Fire Service and Civil Defence.
