Four accused in the snatching of around Tk 11.25 crore of Dutch-Bangla Bank Limited (DBBL) confessed to the crime on Thursday.
The four accused are Chalak Akash, Sagor Matubbar, Mizanur Rahman and Sona Mia.
Of them, Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Nurul Huda Chowdhury recorded confessional statements of Akash and Sagor while Mizanur and Sona Mia gave their confessional statements to the court of Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Shahidul Islam.
Later, the respective courts ordered the police to send them to jail.
Earlier on March 12, Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Shanto Islam Mollick remanded the four accused for five days after police had produced them before the court, seeking a 10-day remand.
On March 9, about Tk 11.25 crore was robbed from a vehicle carrying Dutch-Bangla Bank's money from Uttara area in capital Dhaka.
Later, the Detective Branch of Dhaka Metropolitan Police claimed to have recovered around Tk 6.43 crore out of the robbed money and detained eight people in this connection.
