Dhaka Metropolitan DB Police has arrested the mastermind Akash and recovered Tk 58,07,000 from his possession in a case filed over the snatching of Tk 11.25 crore of Dutch-Bangla Bank Limited (DBBL).
With this, a total of Tk 7,41,55,500 has been recovered so far in the snatching indent.
Additional Commissioner and Chief of DMP’s Detective Branch Mohammad Harun Or Rashid said this at a press conference at the DMP Media Centre in the capital on Tuesday.
Earlier on Sunday, Tk 2,53,99,000 was recovered in cash.
On March 9, Tk 11.25 crore was robbed from a vehicle of Money Plant Link Private Limited carrying Dutch-Bangla Bank’s money at 11 no road in Diabari under Turag thana in the capital.
Later, Alamgir Hossain, Director of the Money Plant Link, filed a case against 10-12 unidentified people with Turag Police Station over the incident.
