Gulistan blast: 3 including building owners remanded

A court in Dhaka has placed three people on a two-day remand over the building explosion in capital Dhaka's Gulistan that left 23 dead.

Those who were remanded are Wahidur Rahman and Motiur Rahman, owners of the building, and Mintu, owner of a sanitary shop in the basement of the establishment.

Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Mahbub Alam on Thursday passed the order after police had produced them before the court, seeking a 10-day remand.

Earlier this afternoon, Detective Branch of Police informed the media about their arrests.

On Tuesday, an explosion occurred on the ground floor of a seven-storey building at Siddique Bazar in Gulistan of capital Dhaka, leaving 23 people dead as of Thursday.
