Fifteen people, including two women, were killed and at least 44 others injured in an explosion in capital Dhaka's Gulistan area on Tuesday afternoon.
The identities of the deceased could not be known immediately.

However, Fire Service and Civil Defence officer in-charge (media cell) Md Shahjahan Shikder told Jago News that seven firefighting units, being informed, went to the spot and were trying to douse the blaze.
The fire extinguishers also rescued 10 people from the building, he added.
Earlier at about 4:50 pm, the explosion occurred on the ground floor of a seven-storey building at Siddique Bazar.
