A court in Dhaka has indicted Evaly's Managing Director Md Rassel and his wife Shamima Nasrin, also chairman of the e-commerce platform, in a case filed under the Digital Security Act for allegedly cheating customers.
Judge of Cyber Tribunal, Dhaka AM Zulfikar Hyat framed charges against them on Thursday.
Earlier, Rasel's lawyer advocate Ahsan Habib sought his acquittal from the charges after he was produced before the court.

The court indicted both of them and also issued an arrest warrant against Shamima as she did not attend the indictment hearing.
Alongside, it fixed April 29 to take testimony in the lawsuit.
One Alamgir Hossain lodged the case DSA case against Rasel and Shamima with Badda Police Station in capital Dhaka on September 30 of 2021 for allegedly embezzling money by cheating in digital media.
