Momtaz Begum, the mother of online news portal Jago News's senior sub-editor Tabassum Tasnim Nilima, has died. She was 57.
She breathed her last around 8 am on Saturday at home in Demra of capital Dhaka.
Nilima said her mother had long suffered from kidney and diabetes diseases.
Jago News Acting Editor KM Zeaul Haque and its staff mourned the death and sought pardon for her departed soul.
