Police have arrested Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami's Panchagarh district unit secretary in a case.
Md Delwar Hossain was apprehended from his home in Jagdal area of Sadar upazila on Friday night and he was sent to jail on Saturday afternoon following a court order.
Sadar Police Station officer in-charge Abdul Latif Mia confirmed the arrest and sending him to jail.
The case was, however, filed for alleged obstruction to government duty, coercion on police, cocktail explosion, road blocking and damaging life and property around BNP's mass procession on December 24, according to police.
