Zero Covid death, 4 cases recorded in 24 hrs

Zero COVID-19 death and four cases were reported in the last 24 hours (from Thursday 8 am to Friday 8 am).

With this, the total number of fatalities remained at 29,445 and infections stood at 20,37,790. 

The Directorate General of Health Services said this in a press release on Friday.

The new cases were found after testing 1,796 samples in the past day.

During the period, 346 patients recovered from the illness, taking the total recoveries to 20,01,115.

Bangladesh, however, first reported its coronavirus cases on March 8, 2020. 

The virus first emerged in the Chinese city of Wuhan in December 2019 and then it spread to other countries.

To date, the epidemic infected 679,377,979 people and killed 6,796,328 across the globe, according to Worldometer, a website that compiles the number of new coronavirus cases and deaths from it.

However, the total number of people who recovered from the virus reached 652,134,864 across the world.
