Forest Department has seized around 150 kilograms of venison from Sundarbans in Khulna.
Khulna Circle assistant conservator of forests (ACF) AZM Hasanur Rahman confirmed the matter.
He said a team led by Khashitana forest patrol outpost acting in-charge Zahangir Hossain conducted a drive in Mudulikhal area on Friday evening and seized the venison.
But the hunters managed to flee sensing their presence, he added.
A case was, however, filed in this connection under the Wildlife Conservation and Security Act, the official also said.
